A candidate who loves her hometown!

Growth has never seemed more inevitable! I am committed to doing what it takes to manage the growth and ensure the people of our town are the top priority!

This election is usually decided in the primary which will be May 7th, 2024. The last election was decided with only 141 total votes cast. The current councilman won by 31 votes. I would appreciate your vote, but most importantly want to see more of our residents involved in choosing who represents them.

A passion for our community

So many different people and organizations make up our small town. The needs of all citizens and public services in town need to be blended to provide for successful town planning.

Public Safety & Infrastructure

My main goal in becoming a member of the Town Council is to get the fire hydrants in town in full working order at ALL times. Our fire hydrants must be activated with a special tool during an emergency and that is unacceptable!

Schools

Decisions on growth by the Town Council directly affect the school system. I will work diligently with representatives of both the Town & School system to do that at a pace the school can absorb.

Taxes

Everything is costing more these days. I will work to keep our taxes as affordable as possible.

Transparency & Communication

I firmly believe that public meetings should be more than lip service. I will be a voice and an open ear to the community!

Quality of Life for Residents

As much as I love Monrovia, there are things we can improve on. I am excited to help maintain but also improve the amenities we have.

Sewer Plant

The town was formed to provide sewer service to town residents. I would like to see the billing for sewer services be based upon usage and not just a flat fee. There are people paying a full fee but not using the sewer at all, while others have high usage and only pay flat fee.

Community

Town Council decisions affect the whole community of Monrovia. It is so important to remember that the community is not decided by voting borders.

New Developments are waiting on approval!

  • Current residents should be protected by working hydrants prior to more growth
  • Commercial developments need to be considered thoroughly prior to approval. Tax abatements should make sense for the town and not just the business.
  • We need more citizens involved to represent the feelings of the community toward this possible growth.

Businesses want to build here

  • What type of businesses would you like to see in Monrovia?
  • What businesses do you NOT want to see in town?
  • Reach out and let me know! I want to represent my own hopes for the town as well as yours!
